As a serial entrepreneur and a busy single mom, Melodie has a real understanding of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur! When Melodie was launching her last business as an independent project manager, one of her first steps was to attend a local workshop on how to write a "One Page Business Plan." Not only did she walk away with clarity and focus for her business, but she also met her first client and now dear friend, Jim Horan, founder and CEO of The One Page Business Plan Company. That was 3 1/2 years ago, and she is now an integral part of the company. Melodie has an extensive background in business and over 12 years in the management consulting industry, with both small boutique consulting firms and large global firms. She has also built two successful businesses from the ground up, and considers herself an entrepreneur at heart. Now, as the National Marketing Manager for The One Page Business Plan Company, Melodie has the opportunity to do what she is most passionate about - helping people turn their ideas into thriving businesses!

Melodie lives with her 4 boys (ages 5, 7, 9 and 13) in Pleasant Hill, CA. Although her marketing role is at the national level, she loves her community and does regular workshops for chambers, junior colleges, and other non-profits in her area. She also volunteers for the Women's Initiative for Self-Employment, where she serves as a mentor to high-potential, lower income women.
